Symposium mobil mural "TIME OUT"

 The
Lower Bavarian Culture Club for Young People USG is a union
of young artists, cultural initiatives and creative people
living aroung the meeting point of Germany, Austria and the
Czech Republic. The network organises a range of cultural
education in the fields of art, dance, theater, music, media
and games; it also plans and organises small and big cultural
events in that region, which enables you to see new interesting
things and to make friends across borders.
This summer the International Mural Art Symposium will take
place: A German artist and an Indonesian Mural artist will
introduce you to the world of murals.
ACTIVITY You will create one commone work of art on a screen
(8 x 12 m) based on the idea of "time traveller".
The team will work out a draft and after making a draft model
it will be transferred onto the screen. Beside that you have
the possibility to create individual work in co-operation
with the artists. Together you prepare a small art event with
vernissage in Passau (D). Afterwards, the painting goes on
tour.
 
Introduction to the art of murals, learning the basic tecniques
and the history and myth behind it.
U are living in the art studio (former farm builing)
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Practical experience, talent, creativity
or abilities in visual art is very welcome; especially interesting
for art students.
If possible, you should bring working outfits, paper, pencil,
etc. with you. And of course there are opportunities to go
on excursions.
